About Me

Writer, Director

My name is Anthony Gilbert. I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA.  I attended Santa Barbara City College and graduated with an AA in Film Production, Communications, Arts & Humanities, and Social & Behavioral Sciences.

I LOVE MOVIES! My Mom took me to see Kill Bill Vol.1 in theaters when I was six years old, and that was the moment I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up... Uma Thurman.

I have always had a burning desire to tell stories through a visual medium. As much as I love making films, operating the camera and setting up lights isn't always my strong suit. Writing and directing have always been where I felt the most comfortable. When I direct I always enjoy breaking down the entire film in shot lists, so the Director of Photography and I can fully understand how we vision the film playing out. I love collaborating with people who also share my desire to bring interesting stories to life!
